Indeed the most unforgettable place of all.
Show us a picture you keep on your desk.
A picture that was taken a month before Eid last year. One of these photos managed to come up in Utusan Malaysia. Everyone in Malaysia started phoning us saying that our photos were on the paper. My parents even laminated it back home. Keeps me motivated to do my work. Supposedly that's what it should do.
Play us a song you simply HAVE to sing along with whenever you hear it? (Go ahead and sing too, because you're good!)

It is normal for us in this house to sing any song that is sung by any one of us. The song would then stick into our heads and became the song of the day. But if it were to be English songs in particular, there is a list of probable songs that we might sing together. But this one is different; it's something of Japanese. You might want to try sing along because it is so easy! I always get my friend to sing along quite frequently by just singing the first line, or at least humming the song. It is plain addictive and scary as well. I started hearing this song by my sister, who was 5 years old. I had no idea what was the song about back then.

After living in Plymouth for almost a year I finally knew what this is. I cooked sardine in brine one night and served it without adding any extra ingredients like vegetables or onions. Then, my two housemates exchanged glance while looking at it.
"It's singgang." said one.
"Yes, it's singgang," said the other, chuckling.
Then they started giggling and looking back at the sardine and exchanged glance again.
I didn't know why they were giggling and chuckling but I got a feeling there must've been some funny experiences about eating this kind of meal.
After trying to dig information from them, my friend finally spoke up, "to be honest my friend, I don't really eat singgang."
"Same goes to me."
They told me that singgang is usually cooked by old people and served together with other dishes. When that happens, they would opt for the other dishes. Unfortunately for them, this was the only thing for the night. I also may had eaten singgang as well back in Malaysia, it's just that I couldn't care less about the name of the food that I ate. Probably because I am a 'cityboy' like this people always call me.
So, they struggled so hard to eat the singgang. We had a laughter as well.
But at least they were being honest. Next time I'd bear in mind about preparing sardines in brine.

Share the first song you'd put on your January 2009 mix tape.
I'll sing it
One last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing
That's right
In all I've done
And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you
Can't raise your voice to say
To think
I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say
Our long goodbye
I nearly do
Light up
Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is
To find an easier way
To get out
Of our little heads
Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if
It's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess
Goodbye winter :)

Summer. It was a hot sunny day that some of us including me went out for a walk at the beach. This video was taken on our way back from Paignton to Plymouth. Waiting for train has always been a pain. And to make things worst, on that day we were parted from each other and took different trains. The problem was, our tickets were kept by our friends who took the different train. In the end, we had to pay for a new ticket. And as for me, I had no student card and had to pay extra cash. It was a memorable experience.
Show us a picture of something you would miss if it disappeared.
Actually there are just a lot of pictures that I would miss if they disappeared. But at the moment I am particularly interested in this one.
This picture was taken in early spring when we were among the first in the cohort to fly outside of the UK (and were like too excited about it!). The boys and the girls took different flights, booking different accommodations and had almost different iteneries. But the funny thing was, we bumped into each other almost every time (It shows that Paris is such a small city after all!). Finally, we decided to take pictures together outside the Notre Dame. The picture was taken by this guy tourist (probably a French -I don't know) who seemed to be quite a photographer.
Like they said, a picture worths thousand words. There are a lot of other pictures back home, particularly those not taken using digital cameras. I just hope -and I'm praying hard that nothing would go wrong to the pictures or my entire history would probably gone forever. Even if I tell the stories orally, the feeling would not be the same.
